Rubén Iranzo’s dream goal with Valencia CF
After 16 seasons at the Club, he made his debut with the first team valencianista
More than fifteen seasons ago, a young Rubén Iranzo arrived at the Benjamin team of the VCF Academy with the dream of being able to make his debut and score a goal with the Valencia CF first team. The first of those dreams he achieved on 20 December 2021 at the Ciutat de Valencia against Levante UD, and the second came last night at El Plantío against Burgos CF.
The Round of 16 of the Copa del Rey 25-26 will always be a fond memory for Rubo. Despite the cold and rain in Burgos, the player from Picanya was able to fulfil his dream of scoring a goal with the Valencia CF first team. In the tenth minute of the match, he put the tie on track for our team with a powerful header at the near post from a corner kick taken by Almeida. Without a doubt, a reward for his effort, commitment and sacrifice over all these years.
“I am very happy about the team’s qualification and about my first goal with Valencia CF. A lot of things go through your head, I have been a Valencia CF fan since I was born and what happened today is a dream come true for me. I think about my girlfriend, my family, my friends… I am not used to scoring many goals, so this one is for them. I have been through a very long process at the Club and this goal is a dream for me. I have enjoyed it a lot and hopefully there can be many more,” he said on the microphones of VCF Media Radio after the match.
